Partners Role

To execute Sericulture Promotional Program SRDC requires eligible Partners / Implementing Agencies

In order to execute important Farmers Networking and other administrative work SRDC will select various Partners / Implementing Agencies at State, District And Block Level and they will be identified as:

  • State Resource Agencies (SRA) at State level
  • District Resource Agencies (DRA) at District level.
  • Block Resource Agencies (BRA) at Block level.

Background, Approach, Duties And Responsibilities of those partners /implementing agencies (i.e. SRA/DRA/BRA), who are selected by SRDC to initiate Sericulture Promotional Program in their different regions are summarized below:

State Resource Agency (SRA)-State Resource Agency will work at different levels in state under the guidance of SRDC

Duties and Responsibilities of the SRA

  • Networking of District Resource Agency – Identifying the organization / other Competent agencies at all Districts in their state.
  • Farmers Networking of given Target through DRA/BRA
  • Project Planning and Training.
  • Management and Mechanism for Project Development.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation of Project Progress.
  • Documentation and Reporting.
  • Promotions and Extension.
  • On Line Maintenance.
  • Legal/Administrative formalities for establishment of Power Loom Cluster

District Resource Agencies (DRA)

Duties and Responsibility of the DRA

  • Networking of Farmers of given Target in each block of the district.
  • Work Action Plan and Management Training.
  • Assistance to Mulberry Sericulture Development.
  • Arranging Training Programme for Farmers.
  • Market linkage-assistance in collection of Cocoons from door step of farmers
  • Promotion and Extension.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation.
  • Documentation and Reporting.
  • Online Registration and Maintenance.
  • Legal/Administrative formalities for establishment of Automatic Reeling Unit.

Block Resource Agencies (BRA)

Duties and Responsibility of the BRA

  • Networking of Farmers of given Target in each block of the district.
  • Networking Of Farmers of given Target – Networking with farmers is the key strategy for the success of this project.
  • Adopt Best Practice To Identify The Farmers And Offer Them Benefit Of Sericulture Activity.
  • Management Training For Farmers Networking.
  • Arranging Training Programme for Farmers.
  • Assistance to Mulberry Sericulture Development.
  • Market linkage-assistance in Silkworm Seed (DFLs) supply at door- step of farmers
  • Assistance in payment to farmers through ID cum ATM card (cash crop payment)
  • Promotion and Extension.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation.
  • Documentation and Deporting.
  • Online Registration.
  • Legal/Administrative formalities for establishment of Silkworm Seed Bank

Note_ for Commercial Phase Project…. Partners may be selected from SRA/DRA/BRA or any other Competent Agencies / Groups according to their Performance and Cordial relationship with SRDC.
